The life of a Snail

On my walk earlier today, I was deep in thought listening to a podcast when all of a sudden I ran into a snail. I began to tell myself, what a long journey a snail has to be able to get to the other side of the walkway. How long does it take for a snail to get to the other side and how often do they make it? Something told me to take a picture and so I did..

As I continued on my walk further down the walkway, I ran into another snail. This time, I ran into the most tiniest snail I have ever seen in my life. I got closer to take a picture and noticed this little guy was wiggling it’s way as quickly as it could to get to the other side and nothing was going to stop him.

Two snails, different journey, pace and timelines. Why do we place a “ready, set and go” or expiration date on life’s events? What is the rush or expectation that everyone must be aligned according to someone else’s timeline who has experienced a different journey.

In life, we must focus on our own pace and timeline. Getting to the other side of whatever you are trying to achieve may look like a lengthy and challenging journey, however, it can be achieved as long as you are focused on your own path and not comparing it to someone else’s walkway.

I hope everyone is able to take some time to enjoy nice walks during this autumn season. 🍃 🍁 🐌
